Strange bedfellows

Ok, so I know it's been a long time since I've posted, and I promise to update you soon. This, however, is not that post.

Right now I'm just posting because I want to share this bizarre picture that I took moments ago. Apparently an opossum has befriended the 3 cats who live here. Or something.

Although you can only see one in the picture, there are three cat beds along the wall of the garage here, and when I got home, the three cats were in their beds and the opossum was in the little house-type thing. Apparently, it has figured out how to use the cat door. Ironically, I think only one of the cats has figured it out...
Anyway, the opossum was here thursday night and we were trying to figure out how to get it out of the garage. While we stood there contemplating our options, one of the cats walked up to the opossum, sniffed at it for a moment, then got in the bed next to it. It appeared to be the typical exchange between two friendly cats. Weird, right? I just hope it's not pregnant and I don't go in the garage tomorrow to discover a litter of baby opossums.

That is a very wierd situation and slightly disturbing. Actually it really kind of grosses me out. I really don't like opossums and I find it very strange that it has made friends withe the cats. You might need to get the cats checked out to see if there is something wrong with them...
P.S. I like the new page look.

hmmm I have to agree with jess. The whole adopting the opossum into a cat family is a little wierd. The picture is only half cute because opossums just look gross and sickly.
I also wanted to let you know that I have my own blog now so you wil have to come leave me a comment > (meganincentralia)

you should write a song about it. nothing really rhymes with opossum, but maybe you could rhyme the beginning. Like this:

there's an opossum in my ogarage!
there's an opossum in my ogarage!
i did not o-invite him!

Let me clarify a few things for all of you, my beloved readers: This situation is, in fact, highly disturbing. The opossum is not cute. At all. It is creepy. If I try really hard, I can sort of see how someone (aka Atoria), might think that an opossum in a picture peeking out of a little hidey-hole is cute. But allow me to point something out which might shed a little light on the subject - you are wrong. It is not cute. I saw this thing in real life. Have I mentioned that it is creepy? I've got to go now. I'm going to go get in my big SUV and see if I can't run down Possy.
